Greg Pray to assume responsibilities on January 1, 2019, succeeding Brad Thompson.
Greensboro, N.C., November 26 2018 – The Board of Directors of Columbia Forest Products is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Pray as President & Chief Executive Officer of Columbia Forest Products, effective January 1, 2019. Pray will succeed Brad Thompson as CEO.
Greg has served with Columbia since 2006, starting as an Executive Vice-President with Columbia’s Flooring Division, and then moving to the Plywood Division as its Executive Vice-President of U.S. Operations.
Following graduation from the United States Naval Academy, Pray served five years in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear engineer. After his naval service, Pray served in various roles for International Paper Company and Nevamar Company while obtaining his MBA in finance and organizational behavior from The University of Texas at Dallas. Pray resides in Summerfield, N.C. with his family.
Brad Thompson, Pray’s predecessor as CEO, will remain with Columbia Forest Products as an advisor to the President/CEO through the first quarter of 2019. The Board thanks Thompson for his significant contributions to the company over the past eleven years.
